Listing Policy
1. Purpose
This Listing Policy applies to all users who list vehicles on Marto. It defines the requirements and responsibilities for maintaining accurate, compliant, and reliable vehicle listings.
2. Eligibility to List
To list a vehicle, you must have an approved owner account, valid identification, required KYC verification, and legal authority to offer the vehicle for rental.
3. Vehicle Documentation
All listed vehicles must have valid registration, insurance, and any legally required permits. Marto may request updated documentation at any time.
4. Vehicle Condition Standards
Vehicles must be roadworthy, clean, and safe at pickup. Critical safety components such as brakes, lights, tires, and steering must be in proper working condition.
5. Listing Accuracy
Owners must provide accurate details, photos, pricing, availability, and vehicle features. Misleading descriptions or hidden defects may result in penalties or listing suspension.
6. Pricing and Fees
Owners are responsible for setting transparent rates and any clearly disclosed additional charges. Platform commissions and applicable fees are deducted according to Marto terms.
7. Availability and Response Time
Owners should keep calendars current and respond to booking requests promptly. Repeated non-response or owner-initiated cancellations may reduce listing visibility.
8. Handover and Return Responsibilities
Owners must hand over vehicles at agreed times and locations, verify renter identity where required, and document pickup/return vehicle condition.
9. Insurance and Claims
Owners are responsible for maintaining valid insurance coverage. In case of incidents, owners must cooperate in documentation and claims processes.
10. Prohibited Listing Practices
Owners must not list stolen vehicles, unsafe vehicles, vehicles with falsified records, or vehicles intended for illegal use. Off-platform solicitation is prohibited.
Owners must not encourage Renters to book offline or complete payments outside Marto. Violations may lead to listing removal, account termination or ban, and loss or withholding of funds linked to the transaction.
11. Compliance and Enforcement
Marto may review listings, request additional evidence, temporarily suspend listings, or permanently remove owner access for policy violations.
12. Policy Updates
Marto may update this Listing Policy from time to time. Continued listing activity after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
